Ali Reynolds at her best.

Cannot wait to see more of Ali. I read this book in one day and could not put it down. Judith Jance does make her characters very real. Her sense of humor always shines through.

Web of Evil

It was a pleasure reading a follow-up to the introduction of Jance's new character, Ali Reynolds. This was an easy read and proves the author's ability to create and develope a new and interesting character. However, I still prefer her Joanna Brady and J. P. Beamount characters and am looking forward to the return of Joanna and/or Beau.

Great in every way!

I miss J. P. Beaumont, and though I like other of Jance's other series', with "Web of Evil" I truly believe it is the best book of hers that I have read. I loved the premise, and the plotting was strong, with tight characterizations, good dialogue and smooth transitions. The kind of mystery that it is well worth staying up all night reading - well in my case two nights, but still a great ride. I highly recommend "Web of Evil" even if you have never read one of the long shelf of J. A. Jance mysteries. You couldn't find a better one to start with, and I know if you try one you'll be hooked for good. But I still am waiting for another J. P. Beaumont?

An Excellent but typical JA Jance

So far, I have found this book as entertaining as any of her books. Her style of writing definitely gets you interested from the beginning and stay interested. This book is a sequal.

A Real Page-Turner!

I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a mystery with a strong woman as the main character, and certainly for readers who have enjoyed any of JA Jance's other books. This book grabbed me from the opening paragraph-- I couldn't read it fast enough because I was anxious to see how things turned out for Ali Reynolds, wrongly suspected of her soon-to-be ex-husband's murder. The book has so many interesting twists and turns that held my attention to the very last page. Great read!
