Love and Other Words

I bought this book for a friend for Christmas with the intent to read it first and annotate it for her, it seemed to be a cute little romance story. Once I finally started to read it, it was great until I realized that it involved cheating, mmc cheats on fmc, (nothing I found about this book before I bought it said anything about that), personally for me that just makes me wanna throw up. It is second chance romance and friends to lovers which are both things I'm a big fan of. The end of the story there are two twists I wasn't expecting which would be okay if they weren't told back to back basically, the ending seemed very rushed and unsatisfying which could've came from the cheating because it was told near the end. Otherwise it was good book. I loved Macey but wasn't a big fan of Elliot during the last parts of the book. People who wouldn't mind cheating should definitely read it.

Five stars

Loved this book. Like all time favorite.

better than i expected

okay, this was a tiktok recommendation book & my hopes for those kinds of books are low bc of how frequently those books are flops (just not my style/taste) anyways, i decided to try this book and wow. i won’t lie, i ruined it for myself because i knew one twist, however, the second twist that she came out with threw me off. i throughly enjoyed how this was written also, the past & present being intertwined. i didn’t cry like most people said they did, i didn’t think it was THAT emotional but i will say, i finished this book in a day and a half (i had to put it down to go to work) this was definitely a 8.7/10 & id absolutely read it again.

LOVED these words!

This book was so good. I'm a big Christina Lauren fan and this was one of my favorites. I loved how the relationship evolved slowly even though the connection happened quickly. I also loved the way the story built and the unexpected event that happened and Elliot's shock at learning the part he didn't even know he played. The characters are so real which I've always found to be the case with Christina Lauren books. This is definitely worth a read. (Or re-read if you're like me.)

Loved

So sweet and kind. It’s a story that will draw you in fully.
